I realised tonight that a still evening with absolutely no wind means that you have a headwind both ways!  A total of eighteen riders discovered this tonight with a close fought battle in the male competition. Equal first, in a time of 22mins 32secs, were Peter Thomas and Ashley Banks with Conrad Taylor in third place in 23mins 29secs.

The womens competition was won tonight by Emma Serjeant in a time of 25mins 43secs with Louise Downward just 12 seconds behind.  Third was Sahrah Wilding.  Thanks go to Thomas Fraenzel and Andrew Palin for marshalling with organizer Tony Brooks and to Andrew Palin for also providing the cakes.

Next weeks competition is on the 25 mile route from Berriew.  Sign on from 18.15 at the Berriew Football Club.  Organizers, in the absence of Tony and Phil, will be Neil Vose and Elwyn Turner.
