The last time trial of the season took place tonight on the 12.8 mile Newtown course. With everything to play for the whole season came down to this race for the top two riders, Peter Thomas and Ashley Banks. Ashley had to beat Peter and come first on the night in order to tie the whole series. Unfortunately for Ashley there was the little matter of Bryn Davies to contend with. Bryn has been winning virtually everything he has entered this season but has not been able to take part in as many of the club time trials as he would probably have liked to.
Tonight he was able to take part and the inevitable happened – he won. This meant that Peter took the overall win in the series with Ashley in second. I will be posting the full results of the club series at a later date but below are the results for tonights race.
