There has been a shortage of qualified Timekeepers for some time in the area. Gill Morrison and her late husband Brian tried many times in recent years to increase the pool of Timekeepers locally. With Brian’s sad and untimely death last month the shortageis more accute than ever and local Open TT’s are at risk.
With over 50 Open TTs in the district this year it places a huge work load on a small group of people. As a district we would like to get as many clubs as possible with their own timekeepers. Gill Morrison (along with Dave and Jenny York) have kindly offered to put on a training session for anyone interested in becoming a timekeeper. It is at Tilstock Village Hall (SY13 3JL) on Thursday 11th May at 8.00pm.
The Club’s two stalwart Timekeepers for our Club series are both attending the training course, but the club needs more people in the club who know how ti Timekeep. This is a great opportunity to learn how to do it properly and to give something back to the sport
