A warm, muggy night with a light cross wind made for fine, if tough, racing conditions for the 21 riders who took to the Welshpool 10 on Wednesday

Lucy Davies, in a rare appearance this year in the club series, showed that her 2 up time trials have paid dividends, posting 25:42 to take top spot in the Women’s race and joint 10th overall. Louise Downward posted her best time on this course this year with a very impressive 27:23 for second with Sahrah wilding taking 3rd on 29:48

The Men’s race saw Ian Coe dipping below 23 mins – his 22:57 giving him first, Pete Thomas 23:03 and Phil Thomas 23:20 pushed him hard for second and third

With just 2 events to go, final placings are still being fought for as riders reach their 12 counting events and start to drop the lowest place. Except a tussle for points at Newtown next week

Bryn Davies marshalled and Thomas Fraenzel collected the signs. Tony Brooks was Time Keeper and Cake provider. A big thanks to the three of you for making the event possible
