Of course, races can’t happen without officials. Hafren is well respected locally for its safe events, and we want to continue that tradition. At the heart of safe racing on open public roads is the system of marshals, and we’ll need quite a few that night. We also need a recorder to help the Timekeeper at the finish and help at Berriew Community Centre HQ with sign on, the live results board and providing tea, coffee and cake to riders and volunteers. Please, we need your help. We have quite a few volunteers for the night, thanks to them all, but we do need more. You don’t have to Time Trial to help, this is a club event that can only happen with support from membership. If you want to get involved then you can e-mail membersfirst@hafren.cc or leave a comment on the Facebook post about this event.

The course goes right past the Horseshoes Inn which has an excellent beer garden and perfect view of the racing. Why not bring your family and cowbells and support the 60 riders at a club social event? With such a big field on a short circuit there will be plenty to cheer.
