Requests have been received from members that the club should
consider donating to a local charity impacted by Coronavirus and the lockdown.
This has been carefully considered by the committee in
regard to the constitutional position of the club in using funds in this way,
the impact on the club’s financial reserves and the response of the club’s membership
to such a request as well as the broader issues faced by charities at this
time.

Lockdown is starting to ease, albeit at a different pace in Wales
to England. British Cycling and Cycling Time Trials have issued guidance for
clubs to be able to hold events.
Although the pace of relaxation of lockdown is slower in Wales, it is likely that the current guidance for holding Time Trials in England from July 8thwill soon apply to us.

Junior Coaching Sessions Are Suspended Until Further Notice
In
line with Welsh Cycling's advice, we are stopping all coached activity at this
time. We will continue to monitor updates and will look to start operating
again as soon as we get the green light.

Not long now before the UK and Club Time Trial season starts.
First up – Jason Arnold is the new TT Event Secretary. Tony
Brooks has been the TT secretary since the club started and asked not to be
considered for re-election at the AGM. Jason has volunteered for this and is

New for this year - Ambers Woodfired Pizza Van (bring some cash and enjoy a post ride Pizza)
First event of the year is the Club’s round of the SCCA Reliability Rides Series on Sunday 5th April. Sign on is from 8:30 at Berriew Community Centre, with first riders off at 9:30
This event will once again replace the regular Sunday Club ride for that day. Entry fee £3
