Club Rides should be led by an officially recognized and designated Rider Leader. Rides that are not will not be covered by British Cycling Insurance. This insurance indemnifies the club and it’s officials, it does not insure the rider or their equipment. We strongly recommend members join British Cycling and receive the benefit of third party insurance. Your equipment will not be covered by either insurance. Specialist Insurance Companies are available.
Ride Leaders must adhere to the Club Ride Protocols in leading a ride. These are for the safety and well being of officials, club members and the general public.

A club member may step in at short notice to lead a ride provided this has been approved by our senior Ride Leader (currently Neil Vose) or Club Chair or Secretary.
