On Sunday 21st October Hafren CC was proud to host Round 6 of the Welsh Cyclocross league at Trehafren fields in Newtown. Our round is the furthest North that the league travels and we were keen to put on a great event for the riders that were travelling from all over Wales and also a strong contingent from the West Midlands.

On October 22 Hafren CC hosted the final round of our club Cyclocross series.

Over the 4 rounds we have had a total of 17 adults and 25 juniors take part. The final standings have now been calculated by taking each individual's 3 best finishes and the 2017 winners are as follows (Full results can be seen in the tables below)

Sunday 22nd October was the 4th consecutive running of Hafren CC hosting a round of the Welsh Cyclocross Series at Trehafren fields in Newtown. 17 juniors and 10 adults pulled on their Hafren shirts to brave the mud last Sunday for Round 6 of the Welsh Cyclocross league in Aberystwyth. The going was soft to say the least and all the riders acquitted themselves well on a technically demanding course. Sunday 24th was the 3rd round of the Welsh Cyclocross League on the Foxley Estate near Hereford. 21 Hafren riders took to the start line. The course was very different to the technical challenge at Builth a fortnight ago. It was dry and fast suiting more the powerful riders.
