What a way to end the 2018 season!

Yep, 2018.  Looking ahead, Hafren are promoting the final SCCA time trial in August, and it has been designated as the SCCA Championship 10. This is in addition to the Open 25-mile time trial in June.  Open time trials attract larger fields and riders come from across the region, or indeed, anywhere in the county.  As well as an opportunity for all club members to ride an extra 10-mile time trial and compete on home ground against some of the best riders in the country, the decision to promote an Open 10 was made to give our young riders easy access to an Open event, since under 16-years cannot compete in an Open 25.  To encourage young riders, we have set an even lower entry fee for juniors.

Of course, we will be looking for help on the day – club members are always generous with their support, and Hafren has an excellent reputation with local clubs for the quality of its events, especially effective marshalling and, of course, cakes.  With this event’s  focus on adding to the junior calendar , this will be a great opportunity for parents to help out too, if you’re not yourself in the club.

Dates and details in the racing programme.  But don’t forget, Open events require you to enter in advance through Cycling Time Trials.  Easy on-line system – but absolutely no entries on the line (sorry)
