On Wednesday 30th April 2025 the club had it’s second round of the 2025 TT series on the Welshpool 12 mile course.
11 riders signed in and on a very warm and still evening the times seem to be getting faster and faster.
Max Bufton won the overall round with a best time on this course again of 22.47, again I believe this is a course record but will have to check, very well done Max. Bryn Davies made his first appearance for the season and was second on the night with a very respectable time of 25.30. Mark Hill was third on the night (26.13) continuing his early season good form. Well done all on excellent times.
Jess Bufton was first for the ladies tonight with a strong time of 29.29, well done Jess. Jan Davies was second with a time of 29.45 and Helen Tudor of OPCC was third on the night with a great time of 29.54. I think the ladies competition will be very close this year with Louise Hurdley (30.37) and Karen Proctor (31.26) pushing both Jess and Jan.
The road bike best time was won by Karen Proctor (31.26) and again I believe this was her best time on this course. Mick Case was second (31.37) and new member Dave Wynne was third with a first time effort of 32.26.
Some great times and it looks like this years racing will be close between all the groups and age ranges with battles in all areas. Thanks to Des Pugh (TimeKeeper) and to Paul Bufton, Neil Bowden and Chris Lewis for marshalling on the night. Also thank you to Bob Benyon for some great pictures
Next Wednesday 7th May 2025 we have out next round again on the Welshpool 11.5 mile course and entries are now live……
Just a reminder that a working front and back light are required when racing the club TT series for safety reasons.
