The club held it’s 9th round of the TT Championships & round 9 of the SCCA SB Sports Series this Wednesday 9th July 2025 on Berriew 10 Mile Course.
We had 9 riders racing this evening and with the weather really getting very warm and what was supposed to be light winds we were hoping for some quick times. The wind was actually quite strong on the return leg so the times were not quite as quick.
Mark Hill was taking his turn to marshall this week so it was good to see a return to racing for Conrad Taylor and he took the best time on the night for the men with a winning time of 23.58 (on his road bike). I (Neil Vose) was second on the night with an improving time of 24.23 and it was also good to see that Ian Coe has not lost any of his appetite for cycling as he was third on the night with a time of 24.43.
Jan Davies (with a mechanical) and Lousie Hurdley tied for first on the night for the ladies with times of 27.56. Well done both and well done Jan for getting back on the bike and finishing the course even with oily hands…..
Conard took the win on the night for the road bike series and Ashley Kirkham (Wrekinsport) and Colin Wells (Paramount CC) tied for second on the same time (27.49).
Good nights racing and good to see Conrad and Ian back racing. Thanks to Des for timekeeping and to Mark & Mick for marshalling.
