Club TT Series – Round 1 – Course – Berriew 10 Mile
On Wednesday 24th April 2024 the club had it’s first round of the 2024 TT series on our fast 10 mile Berriew Course.
15 riders signed in and on a cool and windy April evening and there was signs of some excellent times for the future.
Max Bufton won the overall round with an excellent time of 20:33, with Chris Lewis second on 22:43 and myself (Neil Vose) third with a respectable time of 24:10.
Jan Davies was the best time for the ladies on the night with an excellent first time of 25:55, Helen Tudor came second with a time of 26:22 and it was good to see Louse Hurdely back with a solid third and a time of 27:27.
The road bike best time was won by Mick Case with a time of 26:16 with Alun Roberts second on 27:55 and Karen Proctor third on 29:00.
Some great times and it looks like this years racing will be close between all the groups and age ranges with battles in all areas. Thanks to Des Pugh (TimeKeeper) and to Mike Williams and Morgan Hill for marshalling duties.
Next Wednesday 1st May 2024 we have out next round on the Welshpool 11.5 mile course and entries will go live on Thursday 25th April.
Just a reminder that a working front and back light are required when racing the club TT series for safety reasons.
