Club TT Series – Round 9/SB Sports Series – Course :– Berriew 10 mile Course
On Wednesday 10th July 2024 Hafren CC held round 9 of the clubs TT series and also hosted the next round of the SCCA SB Sports Series on the Berriew 10 miles course.
14 riders signed on, with weather conditions changeable with a strong tailwind out but hell of a headwind back to Berriew.
In the SB Sports Series Tomos Hales from Wrekinsport took the win with a time of 20.59, closely followed by Jonathan Mills-Keeling from Aerologic GT on 21.30, with our own Chris Lewis third on 22.13. Well done all great times.
In the Clubs Championship Chris Lewis took the first page with Neil Bowden (23.38) finding some form to beat Mark Hill (23.39) by 1 second. Think there is a new rivalry and competition is hotting up behind Chris and Sam for the minor placings this year. It was also good to see Peter Villiers back on the bike for his first TT with a great time of 25.50.
Jan Davies extended her lead in the ladies championship with a first place finish and a time of 26.18 which was 6 seconds quicker than last week, with Helen Tudor (from OPCC) second with a time of 26.48 and Karen Proctor was third with a time of 28.10. Jess Bufton was fourth overall and third in the clubs ladies championship with a great time of 30.22.
Mick Case took advantage of Sam Holwill not competing and took the Road Bike best time (25.44) and it was a tie for second between Alun Robert and Karen Proctor both on 28.10 for the evening.

The next club TT is on the Wednesday 17th July on the Welshpool 12 mile course and entries are now live on Eventbrite.
