I know it’s nice that the council like to keep our roads pristine and pot hole free but why do they always seem to do it on our race night?  Tonights 25 mile course was subject to roadworks near to Four Crosses so a decision was made by the organisers (Phil and Tony) to reduce the route and turn at the Livestock Market island.  This meant that the course was just over half distance at 12.6 miles.

Twenty two riders enjoyed a warm evening with a headwind on the way out.  The male event was won by Pete Thomas in 28mins 31secs with Ashley Banks second in 28mins 38secs.  Tyler Brennan in his first club TT outing this year came third in 28mins 57secs.

There were two participants in the womens competition with Louise Downward posting a time of 34mins and 1 second with Sahrah Wilding runner up in 36mins 8secs.

Thanks go to Phil Paul for organising, Jason Arnold for marshalling and Elwyn Turner for providing the cakes.

Next weeks event is on the Welshpool 10 with signing on at the Flash car park.
