Forden 15 mile Time Trial Result – 8th July

Back on the Forden course this week, riders were ‘treated’ to two laps of the testing course which takes in the climbs from Caerhowel to Montgomery and the one back from Montgomery to Forden.

Fastest on the night was guest rider Justin Harcourt. Just 15 seconds separated the top three, with Harcourt posting 39 minutes 42 seconds, beating first Hafren rider on the night Ian Coe by just 7 seconds. whilst Graham Harris rounded out the top three a further 8 seconds adrift.

In the ladies competition it was a reversal of last weeks result with Sahrah Wilding topping the podium in a time of 50 minutes 48 seconds. The battle for second and third was hotly contested with Emma Sargeant (53:07) narrowly beating Louise Downward by just 11 seconds.

Two schoolboy entrants also took to the line with Tyler Brennan posting a very creditable 40 mins 57 secs to take fourth on the night. This talented 15 year old is certainly one to watch in the future. Kallum Stait at just 12 years old and riding in just his third event covered just one lap, leaving the second lap to the older and more experienced competitors on the night.

The next Hafren CC time trial is on 15th July and is the 23.2 mile event that starts at St Giles Business Park, Newtown.

Signing on is from 6:15pm – 6:45pm with the first rider off at 7pm.
