Forden 7.5 mile Time Trial Result – 10th June

The first time of using this new course was cause for much debate afterwards. The strain on riders faces as they crossed the line suggested that although this was one of the shortest time trials this year, the effort required was equal to that used on the longer, but flatter ‘purist’ courses. The sting in the tail being the climb before the finish that saw many going into the red as they tried to measure the effort needed to reach the finish line.

Fastest on the night proving that he can be the fastest on all terrains was again Pete Thomas in 19 mins 32 secs, but only 17 seconds separated the top three with Bryn Davies second (19:43) and Ian Coe (19:49) rounding out the podium.

Fastest lady competitor was Sahrah Wilding in 25 mins 52 secs followed by Louise Downward (27:01) and Sharon Brooks (27:26). Sadly bad luck struck and 2014 ‘Champ’ Jackie Harris was unable to complete the distance.

The next TT is the Newtown 12.5 mile meeting at the Town Centre Car Park – sign on 6:15 > 6:45 with first rider off at 7pm.
