The promised 40 mph winds didn’t arrive, but 20 riders did to take on this challenging course with a strong headwind on the Berriew – Tregynon leg

Louise Downward (71:49) took first in the women’s race, with Sarah Wilding (72:41) pushing her close for second

The men’s race was fast, despite the windy conditions, with 10 rides getting under the hour

Bryn Davies continued to dominate with very fast 52:24 giving him first, chased hard by Peter Thomas (53:22) and Phil Thomas taking 3rd with 54:54

The course was changed at short notice (roadworks) and Phil and Diane Paul did an excellent job of making it run smoothly

Des Pugh and Dilwyn Griffiths marshalled (great job guys), while Mike Williams provided the casks (proceeds to Severn Hospice), thanks Mike
