Road Bike Series – Round 4 – Montgomery – 1 Lap

On Wednesday 28th August 2024 the club had its fourth Road Bike TT on the Montgomery Road Bike Course. This ended up being a shorter TT with traffic lights not letting us complete the climb and the whole course. Therefore the course was shortened to just over 4 miles and thanks everyone for your support.

Max Bufton from Tofauti was the best on the night with a time of 9.43 but Sam Holwill was the first HCC rider over the line with a close time of 10.11. Conrad Taylor was a close second for HCC on the night with a time of 10.14 and Mark Hill cam third for HCC on the night with a time of 10.54.

In the ladies competion Lowri Richards from Pro-Noctis 200 was first on the night with a time of 11.00. Jan Davies was the first HCC lady home with a time of 12.19, with Jess Bufton coming second with a time of 12.32 and Karen Proctor 3rd on the night with a time of 12.45.

I am sorry for the short course this week but things were taken out of my hands with the traffic lights on the course. Thanks to Des Pugh (Timekeeper) and to Chris Lewis, Mike Williams and Steve Taylor for marshalling. Also a thanks to Thomas Franzel and Outdoor Toys for use of the car park and facilities. We do have 1 more round of the Road Bike TT Series on Wednesday 4th September 2024 on the Marton Course. At the moment this might be in doubt as there might be road works in Chirbury that could mean we have to cancel this event. Watch Facebook for updates on thie event.
