Welshpool 10 mile 2-up Time Trial Results – 6th August

A dry evening after some squally showers during the day brought 33 riders to the start line for the 10 mile 2-up on Wednesday.

Run as part of the SCCA (Shropshire Cycling Clubs Association) 2-up series and sponsored by Hawk Plant, some really fast times were posted on what proved to be a pretty quick night of action.

Taking top spot and only just missing breaking the magical 20 minute barrier were Dave Griffiths (Paramount) and Josh Williams (Revolutions), posting 20 mins 18 secs, which although not confirmed could be the fastest performance seen in a HCC event ever. A full minute further back Matthew Davies and Graham South (both Paramount) narrowly beat Rich Nickless and Tom Garbett (both Revolutions) by 12 seconds, posting 21 mins 19 secs and 21 mins 31 secs respectively.

First Hafren riders home were Graham Harris and Medwyn Jones in 22 mins 18 secs to finish just off the podium in 4th spot.

Many thanks to all helpers on the night (many at the last minute) who made the event a safe and enjoyable event for all.
