Whilst 21 members of HCC headed off to the Oswestry Paragon Cycling Club’s 50m relaiability ride, Medwyn headed off to Prees to fly the HCC flag at Round 5 of the SCCA Parker series events.
Medwyn went into the event of the back of a blistering win in round 2 of the HCC’s time trial series the previous Wednesday and lined up against a strong field of 34 other riders on a cold, blustery morning.
Despite what seemed a headwind all the way (appart from the Epsley – Ternhill leg), Medwyn finally managed to go under the hour for a 25, stopping the clock at 59:19, tied for 8th. Next week will be an even earlier start at Prees for Round 5 of the SCCA Fricton Hydraulics Events with the MSW hosted 50.
