Hafren CC takes the safety and welfare of all its cyclists very seriously. We aim to provide a safe and enjoyable environment for children to experience the fun, challenge and sense of achievement that are inherent to cycling.
Hafren CC is committed to implementing policies and procedures to ensure all those involved comply with the British Cycling code of good practice.
Hafren CC abides by the British Cycling policies on safeguarding and protecting children. These can be found here.
All coaches have the relevant DBS checks and adhere to the Hafren CC codes of conduct which can be found here.
In addition we have a Club Welfare Officer whose role is to maintain British Cycling’s high standards in relation to children participating in cycling; allowing peace of mind for participants, their families and cycling clubs by ensuring that those working with young people are suitable to do so.
