Round two of this years time trial series saw 28 riders tackle the Berriew 10 mile course for the first time. Conditions were as near to perfect as they could be and some very fast times were posted.
Overall winner was Philip Thomas (his first win) in an excellent time of 22 minutes 10 seconds. In second place was Peter Thomas (no relation) and third was Ian Coe. The womens competition was again won by Rebecca Richardson who completed the course in 23 minutes and 3 seconds which was good enough for fifth place overall. Second woman home was Lucy Davies and Emma Serjeant was third. I also drastically improved my time tonight, probably due to reducing my warm up to four miles instead of last weeks one hundred and twenty three!

The next event is on 17th May on the Welshpool 10 mile course.
Please don’t forget that this years Hafren CC Open Time Trial will be held on 7 June on the Berriew 25 course. This will be a good opportunity to represent your club on this fast course but if you don’t want to ride then please do consider helping in some way on the night.
