On Wednesday 7th May 2025 the club had it’s third round of the 2025 TT series on the Welshpool 12 mile course.
8 riders signed in and on a warm evening with a unusal tailwind on the home leg on the Welshpool Course.
With only a small number of riders it was good to see Mark Hill taking the win for the night on the mens race with a time of 27.00, just a little slower than last week. Neil Bowden showed that he is getting used to his TT bike coming second on the night with a time of 27.32 and Chris Marrs (from MSW) was third on the night.
In the ladies race Jan Davies showed again that she is getting stronger with a great time of 30.46 to takes the ladies best time with Karen Proctor (on her road bike) coming in second (31.49) and Helen Tudor (from OPCC) coming third on 31.51.
The road bike best time was won by Alun Roberts (31.48) on his first outing this year, well done Alun and long may this continue (it must have been the new speedsuit he had from Emma), second on the night was Karen Proctor on 1 second behind Alun and third was Dave Wynne (new HCC member) with a time of 33.17.
Pity about the small numbers this evening but this may have been due to the bank holiday weekend. Great nice’s racing for everyone though and thanks to Des for timekeeping Duties.
Next Wednesday 14th May 2025 is round 2 of the clubd Road Bike TT Series on the challenging Montgomery Course. You can enter on Eventbrite and hopefully we can encourage a few more riders from HCC to take part.
Just a reminder that a working front and back light are required when racing the club TT series for safety reasons.
