2 Up Championship Rd2 17/5/2013 – Oswestry Paragon
Hafren entered four teams into round two of the Hawk Plant 2 Up - Time Trial Series, conditions were cold with a tough headwind on the outward leg. Course would be best described as undulating and a true test of one’s reserve.

Whilst 21 members of HCC headed off to the Oswestry Paragon Cycling Club's 50m relaiability ride, Medwyn headed off to Prees to fly the HCC flag at Round 5 of the SCCA Parker series events.
Medwyn went into the event of the back of a blistering win in round 2 of the HCC's time trial series the previous Wednesday and lined up against a strong field of 34 other riders on a cold, blustery morning.

21 Hafren CC members and friends alike braved the blustry conditions for a lumpy ride around mid wales. Event distance was 49 Miles with many members riding to and from the start at Llanyblodwel and banking 70 plus miles. All enjoyed a tuff day in the saddle for a worthwhile charity - HOPE HOUSE. Special thanks to our host’s Oswestry Paragon and the tea & cake, it certainly hit the spot.

Keith’s Backyard
Unfortunately due to tomorrows forecasted torrential down pour in North Wales, the decision has been made to postpone “Keith’s Backyard” Ride.
However all is not lost and it’s been decided to go and support our neighbouring club Oswestry Paragon’s in there Reliability ride.

I have now entered the LVRC Dragon 2 Day on 1st/2nd June which is held in the Neath Valley at Resolven.
It would be good to get a few of us HCC Vets down there to give it a go.
