After successfully hosting a round of the Welsh MTB series last July, we were proud to be asked by Welsh Cycling if we would be willing to host this years Welsh Championship, which will also double up as the final round of the Welsh MTB series.  It will be held at the same venue, Glynhafren Farm, just outside Llanidloes, a venue more used to hosting major motorcycle events, and the home of the Yamaha Off Road Experience.  It is scheduled for Sunday 10th September.

There will be classes to cater for everyone right through from under 6’s through to Super Vets, fun through to Elite.  The kids classes will use a different course, which will be tweaked slightly for each age group, and new for this year at the Welsh MTB series, is the addition of a fun skills challenge for the kids once their racing has finished.

The main lap offers a long, varied and testing course, with plenty of climbing, and lots of natural technical descents, both on the grass, through the woods, and natural guleys on the farm.  There will be a number of A/B line options, where you can try the harder shorter options, or the easier longer way round.

There will be overnight camping available onsite on the Saturday evening, and a food van present on the Sunday.

Entries are available online here Events you can also enter on the day, but will pay a little bit more.
