HAFREN CC ROAD RACE CANCELLED!!
Despite all our best efforts to advertise our inaugural LVRC road race and bring a new event to the LVRC calendar, entries have unfortunately fallen well below what was required to provide a credible race for 2013.
In view of this it’s hugely regrettable, but we have been forced to cancel the event for this year. We would not have been able to put on a good days racing for those who had entered and the club would have also suffered a significant financial shortfall.
It is hoped that by making this decision now that those who did enter will be able to find alternative events in plenty of time and ahead of normal closing dates.
All entries and fees will be returned to those who entered over the next couple of days and I would like to thank everyone who did enter for their support.
Hafren CC aim to promote in 2014, but I think we will look to run an event earlier in the year, thus avoiding the busy holiday period which I believe along with it’s late addition to the LVRC calendar, has played a large part in the reduced interest for 2013.
We have some of the most fabulous quiet roads and stunning scenery in Powys, it would be a shame not to share them!!
The Hafren CC Road Race will most definitely be in the LVRC calendar for 2014, so please look out for it next year and get your entry in!!
