An epic ride in the foulest of conditions saw one of Shropshire's star riders smash the course record against the odds in the opening round of the SB Sports Injuries and Physiotherapy Series. Team Bottrill rider Josh Williams became the first rider to ever beat 20 minutes on the Waters Upton - Hodnet 10 mile course with a superb ride of 19 minutes 47 seconds; slicing through the wind, hail and rain that blighted the event with ease. Jackie and Emma (British Cycling coaches) are running coaching sessions for women cyclists over the next few months on alternate Thursday evenings in Newtown starting on Thursday 12 May.
