Happy New Year to you all. We hope you had a nice Christmas break and had lots of fun.
Over the next few months we will be putting on a number of different and extra sessions.
The coaches will be able to answer any questions you have. Please do not hesitate to ask for any further information/advice.
Roller Sessions
We are planning to put on a number of extra sessions aimed at improving the fitness and performance of the junior riders.
Primarily aimed at the older children we will be starting with roller sessions at CastAlum. The sessions will start at 10am. The start date will be confirmed shortly.
We will be using a room within the factory. The club has two sets of rollers, if you don’t have your own.
Newtown
We will be running a number of sessions at Newtown High School, still at 10am and 11am. See specific dates below.
Newton High School offers the chance to practice skills on a much larger tarmac area.
Go Ride MTB Series
Aimed at beginners and younger riders wanting to try an event in a friendly setup.
We are aiming to go to these races as a club session.
The course for the younger ones is fairly flat with not too difficult climbs.
Open to all up to 16 years of age with practice timed laps and a race. Starting at 12pm.
Hafren will also be hosting a round of the series in April. Coed y Brenin
We will be going as a club to the MTB trails at Coed y Brenin. This is a non-coached session, so a parent or guardian will need to be present.
The Minataur trail is a friendly but challenging beginners route.

Junior Subs
Subs will be £2 per session. Club membership is £5 for calendar year

Children’s Hafren cycling jerseys are £20, in a variety of sizes.
