LVRC Pinvin Road Race 2014

Right then Roadies...... A number of you have already expressed an interest in this event, so I have spoken to the organiser(s) of the LVRC Pinvin RR - 22nd/23rd March next year to confirm details etc. This is the first Region 6 race of the year and is always oversubscribed which is why they are now running two events - Sat & Sun - so they can double the number of riders they can accommodate over the weekend. Hafren CC racing CX either side of the border!

Waldrons WMCCL Round 10 Report (plus Red Kite XC winter series)

Round 6 Welsh CX league

Four Hafren Riders made the trip to Gorseinon to race in the Melin Mynach CX. The weather was better than forecast, however the previous weeks rain turned the course into a mud fest. Max Bufton got off to a strong start in the U8's race and crossed the line in 11th. This result lifts Max into the top ten in the overall league. Round 5 – Welsh Cyclocross – Brecon

Eight riders turned out for the trip down to Brecon, which turned out to be a very windy and wet mud fest. The conditions made for a difficult afternoons racing with many riders abandoning, although all Hafren riders finished the course. Brecon like many CX courses was staged around a leisure centre with steep climbs to encounter and muddy descents to navigate. Round 4 Welsh Cyclocross – Merlins Knight Cross

With priority going to those contesting the welsh series, a smaller group of Hafren riders travelled to Carmarthen Park. This was cx with a twist - flood lit night racing.
