Four Hafren Riders made the trip to Gorseinon to race in the Melin Mynach CX. The weather was better than forecast, however the previous weeks rain turned the course into a mud fest.
Max Bufton got off to a strong start in the U8’s race and crossed the line in 11th. This result lifts Max into the top ten in the overall league. Max enjoyed the racing and particularly the sweets given out by the organiser.
In the main race Ian Coe, Nick Huband and Paul Bufton did battle. Having travelled all the way to Gorseinon to race Paul Bufton and Ian Coe ended up in their own personal battle, the lead changing several times, and the riders finishing 62nd and 63rd. The ever improving Nick Huband put in his strongest performance of the season closing the gap on the other Hafren Riders and crossing the line in 79th.
Next up is Round 7 in Newtown where Hafren riders will be hoping to put home advantage and strong local support to good use
