Road Bike Series – Round 2
On Wednesday 15th May 2024 the club had its second Road Bike TT on the new Montgomery TT road bike course. This on paper looked like a more challenging course than the popular Marton loop and on the the night it prooved to be the case.
Well done to all riders on a warm, still and sunny evening.
Sam Holwill came first with a superb time of 20.23. He was closely followed by Dave Griffiths of OPCC with a time of 20.45 and Bryn Davies making up the top 3 with a great time of 21.33.
In the ladies competion Jan Davies took first place with a best time on the course for a woman of 25.45 and Gemma Pryce took second on the night with a time of 27.41.
There was some great times from everyone on the night and feedback on the new course was very positive. Can I also thank Chris Lewis, Louise Hurdley, Lisa Vose and Mike Williams for Marshalling on the night and of course to Des Pugh our excellent timekeeper. These events can’t go ahead without you support so thank you.
The next club event is the 4th round of the TT series on the Berriew course on Wednesday 22nd May 2024. The next round of the Road Bike series is on 24th July 2024 with 2 laps of the Marton Course. Thanks everyone.
