Volunteers – Tour of Britain      Stage4Denbigh_BuithWells_ETA

E-mail from Sweetspot:-SweetSpot is the organiser of the Tour of Britain.

We are currently seeking support from cycling clubs to assist in the safe and successful delivery of the race. This would give participating clubs an opportunity to promote their cycling club at one of the Yodel Sprint or SKODA King of the Mountain locations.

To assist the crew, we require marshals for the sprints at Wrexham Road, Mold; Foel A458 Welshpool and Newbridge-on-Wye and the KoMs at Rhydtalog(A5104); Cwm Sian Llywd, Bala and Dyfnant.

Would Hafren CC be interested in supporting this initiative and providing much needed volunteer marshals for this event? Ideally, we are seeking the support from one cycling club per Sprint or KoM location with at least 10 volunteers from each club to assist ToB staff in marshalling the area until the riders and final vehicle in the race convoy have passed through the section.  This would provide you with a platform to promote your club to local cycling enthusiasts. You could use pop up tents (space permitting), feather flags, banners, etc. However, as the Sprints and KoMs are sponsored (by Yodel and Skoda respectively), we are not allowed to cover any of their branding!

Please find attached a copy of the ETAs and Volunteer Club Initiative document with further information which I hope you will be kind enough to share with members of your club.
