Hafren CC TT Series round 10 – Newtown 11.5

  Perfect racing conditions saw a small field of 17 riders take the start for round 10 of the club TT series. The event clashed with a televised sporting event (stage 5 of the Tour?), but those that made it saw some fast times with Bryn Davies posting 26:18 to take the men’s event and Rebecca Richardson taking the Women’s event in 28:25. 1st July saw round 2 of Hafren CC's grass track league return to the Welshpool Oval. A clash with a Wales 1/4 final in the football saw an earlier start for all races. Hafren CC TT Series Round 9 – 29th June, Forden 15

22 riders took to the start for round 9 of the Hafren CC TT series. This was the first outing of the series on the Forden circuit. Taking two laps of a very wet course, riders had to watch flooding on the bends and one stretch where the road was completely flooded. Freewheel Grasstrack League Round 1

The sun shone on round 1 of Hafren CC Freewheel Grasstrack League.  Forty four riders from a number of clubs took to the grass oval and provided a great's night racing.  The juniors and youth riders kicked the evening off on a shortened oval and took part in the 'flying lap', scratch and elimination races.  Of particular note was the large turnout in the u8's category with 14 riders taking to the start line and showing promising signs for future of cycling...

Newtown TT Organizer Phil Paul pulled out the stops tonight. On Monday it looked like the event would have to be changed to an alternative course because of road works. On a night when it seemed the correct choice of sporting equipment was a canoe, the heroes of the night were the Marshalls and Time Keepers. Andy Palin. Emma Serjeant, Sam Holwill, Mike Holwill and Phil Paul marshalling with Tony Brooks manning the time pieces and Phil Paul keeping the excellent electronic finish line data.
