Sundorne Circuit Series
2018 saw a new venture between Hafren CC and Mid Shropshire Wheelers which involved sharing resources to create a Circuit Series at Sundorne. The series had a focus on youth riders and saw the creation of a new league competition now known as the Severn Valley Circuit Series.

34 riders took to the grass track on a sunny Friday evening in Welshpool. It was great to see some new faces enjoying themselves with the regular riders. The junior racing was fast and frenetic and consisted of a flying lap, keirin and elimination race. 51 riders lined up for Round 4 of the Mid Wales MTB series yesterday in Newtown. There was a particularly strong turnout in the younger age groups with some future stars representing their clubs and showing off their skills. Luckily the heavy rain held off (just) and some close racing ensued. Full results are listed below. The final round of racing will be held on weekend of 5th August in Builth Wells

On Sunday 11th December Hafren Youth Riders headed over to Manchester Velodrome to take part in Welsh Cycling's North Wales Cluster Session. It was a chance to follow in the wheel tracks of their cycling heros such as Bradley Wiggins and Laura Kenny.

Following an approach from Powys Sports Development Officer, Kate Preston the club helped organize and run an inter schools grass track competiton
