Open 2016 2Road works on the Caersws – Llanidloes TT course led to a late switch to the Newtown 11.5 course. Event organizer Phil Paul did an excellent job of getting the word out about the change and the hastily rearranged event went well, with 23 riders taking the start

A warm and muggy night, the promised showers missed most of the field and the roads remained dry.

There was not much wind around and conditions were near perfect, even if the hot muggy air made it a tough night

Welsh Champs Women’s Road Race Silver Medallist, Rebecca Richardson, dominated the Women’s event with a fast 28:16, (fast enough for 7th overall )while Sahrah Wilding 34:37 and Louise Downward 34:43 scrapped it out for second and third

Bryn Davies continued his fine winning streak, his 25:13 put over a minute into second place rider Pete Thomas at 26:45 with Ian Nisbett rounding out the podium with 27:08
