Hafren raise £1,000 at Severn Hospice Great Big Bike Ride

Perfect riding conditions saw six Hafren riders at the Severn Hospice Big Bike Ride. This well organized event ran the same route as last year, but anti-clockwise. It's a great route through rolling Shropshire countryside on hedged lanes and Shropshire looked at its best in warm September sunshine. We raised £1077 in sponsorship, many thanks to all who sponsored us. The warm weather saw good entries in all the rides, with good teams from the local Shropshi

LVRC Road Race CANCELLED!!

For the second year in succession Hafren C.C. have failed to attract enough entries to proceed with the planned LVRC promotion, which was due to take place on 18th May 2014. At the time of writing we have secured just 31 entries across all age categories A to H, meaning that we were unable to provide a credible race in any of our 3 planned events. It is true to say that we would probably have had a few more entries arrive in the next 2 weeks, but when

Saturday is for A/B/C category riders

Round 4 Welsh Cyclocross – Merlins Knight Cross

With priority going to those contesting the welsh series, a smaller group of Hafren riders travelled to Carmarthen Park. This was cx with a twist - flood lit night racing. Max Bufton pulled on the red white colours again in the U8's race. A strong ride saw Max hold on for 13th in a field of 36 riders. As the light faded and the flood lights fired up Nick Huband and Paul Bufton got ready to race. As the whistle blew 80 riders set out on a lap and a half o...
